ICON offers plunger lift which is an artificial-lift method principally used in gas wells to unload relatively small volumes of liquid. An automated system mounted on the wellhead controls the well on an intermittent flow regime. When the well is shut-in, a plunger is dropped down the production string. When the control system opens the well for production, the plunger and a column of fluid are carried up the tubing string. The surface receiving mechanism detects the plunger when it arrives at surface and, through the control system, prepares for the next cycle.
ICON offers one of the technology leaders for pumping systems. Our offered twin screw pumps are self-priming, double suction pumps designed for continuous service in high viscosity applications. Manufactured in many different sizes, their design provides complete axial balancing of the rotating elements and eliminates all metal-to-metal contact within the pump. They are designed forpulse-free flow and high suction lift / self-priming capabilities – and deliver smooth, constant flows across a wide range of viscosities, temperatures, and pressures.
The Edge Hi-Speed Sensor (EHS) Ground Fault Zero (GFZ) monitoring system operates with all ESP companies’ equipment and is designed to withstand the harsh environments that can be experienced in an ESP lifted well. A major weakness of the current ESP sensor is that an ESP ground fault stops the sensor transmitting data to surface, resulting in the operator running the ESP blind. The GFZ sensor alleviates the ground fault issue by operating under full ground fault conditions. Providing vital downhole data to enable the operator to optimize production while cautiously operating the ESP until the workover rig is available. In addition to operating under full ground fault conditions the sensor has high-speed communications capable of 50 times faster than other ESP monitoring systems plus the capability to provide quartz crystal pressure accuracies for reservoir management.
